How Mobile is our Fun Casino Hire Service in the South West UK?
In short – the answer is VERY! We are happy to drive to the venue of your choice – whether it’s a pub, club, hotel, private house, country estate, converted barn or narrow boat.
We’ll be there with our custom built and beautifully crafted casino table games – choose from roulette, blackjack, Caribbean stud poker, let it ride poker or Texas hold ‘em.
Summer Garden Party Wedding Entertainment Ideas
One thing sometimes overlooked in the summer months (and please don’t say “what summer” – we can live in hope) is the possibility of an ‘al fresco’ gaming session.
Rather than crowd around a hot gaming table, if the weather’s dry and reasonably calm, we’ll put up the tables in your garden!
We can bring all we need to add light to the tables so why not? Here, our photo shows just such an event – a beautiful tiered garden with a marquee snugly fitting the base.
With almost all of the room in the marquee needed to seat the guests, the very best place for the casino was in the garden.
Our croupiers enjoyed the fresh air as much as the guests did – Thankfully of course it was a warm and dry evening, everyone enjoyed it and we became part of the very happy memories of someone’s special day.
Giant Garden Games Hire
Giant Connect Four
One of the most popular of our giant garden games range! The giant Connect Four is a firm favourite with children and adults alike.
Giant Connect Four is great fun and easy to play.
Using skill and strategy, players take it in turns to drop red or yellow plastic counters into the slots one at a time. The aim is to make four in a row first by carefully planning your own moves, whilst taking care to block your opponents row. If all of the counters are used without there being four in a row, the game is a draw. Otherwise, whoever gets four in a row first, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally, is the winner.
The aim of the game is to build the tower as high as possible without letting it fall, you could even use it for team building to see who’s tower lasts the longest and builds the highest, perfect for any party, corporate event or BBQ.
Giant Snakes and Ladders
In this version – there are no counters – YOU jump from square to square, climb up the ladders and slide down the snakes!
The game comes with an inflatable die and 8 pegs for holding down the board which measures 3m square. Note that the rules are not the standard Snakes and Ladders – there are a couple of optional additional twists that add to the party atmosphere.
When you are thinking about hiring a fun casino for your event, how do you go about deciding which are the best games to choose? A lot of people have never been inside a ‘real’ casino let alone played the games. Scary stuff, especially when you’re having to learn the hard way – by risking your hard earned money!
Mobile Casino Games Hire – Twentyone or Thirtysix?
I am often asked what games to choose. When it comes to casino games there are many. Of the most popular games however, there is no question that topping the list are blackjack (otherwise known as ‘21’) and roulette (hence the 36 number in my snappy heading – although strictly speaking there are 37 numbers as we must not forget zero).
Blackjack, Roulette Table Hire – or both?
The problem then arises if only one game is sought – and then, in all my years of running fun casino events, I simply can’t make the call because one night it will be blackjack, maybe the next, roulette or no discernible difference. There sometimes seems to be a gender factor, with the ladies preferring roulette whilst the gents feel they have more control over the card game but again I’ve seen that turned on its head many times too.
Both games are what’s called ‘games of chance’ so it’s about luck and not skill but there is a little leeway on the blackjack table as players can choose whether to take a card or not. With roulette, is there a skill involved, is there a system? Well, if I knew of one I dare say I’d be retired and living in the Bahamas by now.
So – what’s the answer? If you are trying to decide, perhaps the very best way is trust to luck and your own preference – which do you think would suit your party best? And if you can revise your budget then the very best move would be to book both games. That way your casino will look more authentic and your guests will love you for giving them a choice.

As told by June Howley, Business Owner of Aces Fun Casinos.
What is it, after twenty years of working in fun casinos – 16 of those with my own business – keeps me enjoying my work?
As a provider of fun casinos I have been asked to attend thousands of different events. These venues range from castles to chip shops, stately homes to narrow boats. We’ve worked on farms, in festivals, race courses and tv studios. We’ve worked in people’s kitchens and even their bedrooms when space was at a premium.
We’ve driven to the middle of nowhere, carted our gear across fields and gardens. We’ve climbed through French windows, slithered through blizzards and held our breath driving through flash floods. Why?
No one stands to lose their income over the turn of a card or the spin of the wheel.
Speaking as someone who spent many years in the gaming industry, working in a variety of casinos in the UK and abroad I can say in all honesty that, apart from the excitement of travelling to new countries and all that entails, I find the fun casinos that I do are far more enjoyable.
Communication – call it banter.
I am able to engage with my players, tell them a yarn perhaps, teach them a little strategy or just have a bit of banter going alongside the game. How very different from the mostly silent and tense games in the gambling halls of the world, where players show no emotion whatsoever or worse, blaming the croupier for their losses.
Fun Casinos are a light-hearted form of entertainment and really – not just for the player. Most of the croupiers that work in my fun casinos have had many years experience working in the gaming industry. They leave for a variety of reasons but a part of them still miss the GAMES as did I. So, after years of meeting all sorts of different people, driving to different places, celebrating different occasions– birthdays, anniversaries, fund raisers, corporate entertainment, weddings – helping to make an event the best it can be and seeing the enjoyment on people’s faces – that’s what gives me job satisfaction. That’s what keeps me doing what I do and enjoying it while I’m doing it.
